This is the Nadelwehr, a historic needle dam that has been regulating the flow of water since the 19th century. Lake Lucerne is one of Switzerland’s most accessible lake and Alpine destinations by train. Direct connections from Zurich, Bern and other major Swiss cities make arriving in the region fast and convenient.
