Train

Arosa is easily reached from Chur by the Rhaetian Railway (RhB). The scenic journey through the Schanfigg valley takes around one hour.

The route passes through impressive Alpine scenery and across the famous Langwieser Viaduct.

Arosa railway station is located in the centre of the resort at Oberseepromenade, making the train a convenient option for visitors arriving from across Switzerland.

Car

Arosa can be reached by car from Chur through the Schanfigg valley. The journey takes around one hour, depending on traffic and road conditions.

The mountain road has numerous bends and significant changes in elevation. In winter, snow and icy conditions are possible, so appropriate winter equipment is essential.

Visitors should use the designated parking facilities in and around Arosa. During busy periods, especially in winter, arriving early is recommended.

Bus

Arosa is easily reached by public transport via Chur and the Rhaetian Railway (RhB). Local buses connect the railway station with different parts of the village.

In winter, ski buses connect the station, accommodation areas and main ski lifts. Services vary depending on the season.

Public transport is a convenient option for exploring Arosa without a car, especially during busy winter periods when parking can be limited.

Boat

Arosa has no direct boat access. The resort is reached by train or car via Chur.

Visitors travelling from Swiss lake regions should continue their journey by train or car via Chur.

Cable Car

Arosa has an extensive mountain transport network with cable cars, gondolas and chairlifts connecting the resort with the surrounding peaks.

In winter, the lifts provide access to the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area. In summer, selected lifts operate for hikers, mountain bikers and visitors enjoying the Alpine scenery.

The main lifts are easily accessible from the resort, making it easy to combine hiking, sightseeing and mountain experiences with comfortable uphill transport.

Parking

Arosa has several designated parking facilities in and around the resort. Options vary depending on your accommodation and location.

During winter and other busy periods, parking can fill up quickly. Check parking options in advance and follow local parking regulations.

Many hotels and accommodations offer their own parking or can advise on nearby facilities. Check with your accommodation before arrival.
